Thursday Music: Tim Buckley: Dolphins

After Zach posted a piece by Jeff Buckley, I thought you should hear a piece by the Buckley from my generation, Jeff’s father: Tim Buckley!

  1. After a day of Christmas shopping, this relaxing piece brought to mind an old axiom or truism from a 17th century English play by William Congreve.

“Music has charms to sooth the savage breast.” Sometimes it is misquoted using “beast” instead of “breast” as noted in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Congreve

Mr.Congreve also coined another famous phrase, “Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned. Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.” Ain’t that the truth! Just kidding, ladies. Betrayal is never acceptable.

Anyway, thanks for the musical interlude.
