  1. State Supreme Court Justice Patience Roggensack had a 15 minute exclusive interview on State wide television with a very sympathetic reporter the Sunday before the election. Ed Fallone had a 30 second ad. How do people responsible for a progressive campaign allow this to happen? This is why Walker is picked to win the next election. We can’t get a handle on mass media, and it’s those arm chair voters that smother most chances a progressive candidate might have. Eau Claire voted for Fallone. But we have built up a strong social media base, aided by the Move To Amend organization, the year round Democratic Resource Center, ECUW organizations and others working year round to help people understand what is happening politically in not only Eau Claire County but the whole of the Chippewa Valley. Would someone in Dane and Milwaukee counties learn how to work the state wide media better? We could also use some help from the twin cities.

  2. Cat, I think you’re right on some of your points, but I think the main problem Fallone had was that he was trying to unseat a well-funded entrenched incumbent. That’s difficult enough to do in a smaller race, but it’s even more difficult in a statewide race.

  3. Ms Cat: The walker TV adds for gov should begin shortly. I’ll bet you a cup of coffee the Kochs will spend 75 mill or more to get there shill elected. It Will be Jeb bush in 16 for prez. Unless someone goes through with the hit on Karl rove

  4. I didn’t say it should be easy. In Eau Claire, we know the rad-right money is coming and we try to use all progressive organizations, social media, LTE and community events to balance that issue–with the population and the media. Media in Eau Claire wouldn’t give a 15 minute exclusive gift right before election to one candidate in a heavily disputed race…not without a challenge.
