Scott Walker: “Don’t buy your kids Christmas presents; give me a political contribution instead!”

Apparently Gov. Scott Walker’s political cravennessknows no bounds.

This year, we are celebrating the Holiday Season with a Black Friday special that is better than any deal found in stores. Donate $5, $10 or $25 to help Governor Walker get reelected and save your children from a future of double-digit tax increases and billion dollar budget deficits.

Instead of electronics or toys that will undoubtedly be outdated, broken, or lost by the next Holiday Season, help give your children the gift of a Wisconsin that we can all be proud of. Governor Walker is helping Wisconsin move forward to a future where your children and grandchildren can experience:

So instead of supporting fine Wisconsin toy manufacturers like American Girl and Patch Products, Gov. Walker would rather you give him your money.

What a wretch.

    1. Not just mean….he’s also a moron. Why would a sitting governor in a state that has lagged economically behind its neighbors encourage supporters NOT to spend money stimulating the economy?

Makes no sense to me, but then again I’m not a twenty-something recent college grad who was born with a silver spoon stuck up my…well you know, as are a good number of his campaign operatives.

Got a special milestone or event coming up?

Instead of another gift card you’ll forget to use, ask your friends and family for something that will go a little further: a donation to Obama for America. Register your next celebration—whether it’s a birthday, bar or bat mitzvah, wedding, or anniversary—with the Obama campaign. It’s a great way to show your support for a cause that’s important to you on your big day.

    1. Please link blogging blue post back when Obama was asking the nation to give him money in lieu of gifts for all occasions. K-Thanks.

Wrong fairy tale again, the seasonal fiction right now is of helpful elves, not useless trolls. Take your schtick to OFA and bitch, not everyone here actually supported Obomber, proving again you have no clue about who you think you are being cute with.

You seem to be expecting a handout of labor here? What have you done to expect others here to do you favors? Ever notice the search box at the top right of the home page? Where’s your “R” bootstraps? WEDC hasn’t given you a tax break yet because you can’t compete on your own business merits in your version of the holy free market?

        1. So again you have nothing but personal attacks when backed into a corner. This is becoming a common occurrence around here.

            1. Awww….look at independent guy! He’s learned how to take quotes completely out of context! How cute!

Here’s what Schumer said, in the proper context:

IC: You don’t think Elizabeth Warren makes a villain out of Wall Street?

CS: I am just going to leave it at what I said.

IC: Forget Warren then. Is this a problem for your party?

CS: You don’t want to go after them for the sake of going after them. The left-wing blogs want you to be completely and always anti–Wall Street. It’s not the right way to be.

IC: So are the left-wing blogs as bad as the Tea Party ones in this case?

CS: Left-wing blogs are the mirror image. They just have less credibility and less clout.

It’s pretty clear to me that Schumer’s comment was in reference to the desire of left-wing blogs to have elected officials be “completely and always anti–Wall Street.”

The reporter follows Schumer’s comment up with, “So are the left-wing blogs as bad as the Tea Party ones in this case?

              Context…..it’s a beautiful thing.

              1. Rat’s. Point missed.
The reply was to Steve regarding Blue Bloggers/Reader behavior. Let’s surmise Steve finds much of the behavior as ill. Many agree.
While all that blog & read here are smarter than a 5th grader too many do not behave as such.
Apologies to rats I may have offended.

                1. IG,

Please point out some recent comments that you consider beneath “a 5th grader.”

                  Thanks for helping Blogging Blue.

                  1. JC,
Didn’t have to look far. You’re on your own now. Good luck.

                    You’re an asshole……………………. Mr. Grinch.

                    1. IG,

I dispute your claim that calling Scott Walker an asshole is beneath a 5th grader, and I believe any politically astute 5th grader would agree.

What have you got against 5th graders, by the way?

                    2. And let’s be perfectly clear, IG. A man who tells a guy he thinks is David Koch that he thought of planting troublemakers in a crowd of protesters really is an asshole. A genuine, bona fide, balls to the wall, full tilt boogie asshole.

                    3. LOL
                      SC,
Point well taken. And a man who tells Americans that they can keep their health insurance is also. Right?
We’re not getting alotta likes in this thread….

                    4. Never worry about the likes, IG. The public is fickle and will always break your heart.

A man who tells the American public that they can keep their health insurance when they can’t is wrong.

                    5. IG, awwww, you can only come up with one?

C’mon, work a little harder or I may have to start calling you “lazy guy.”

          1. Which corner would that be, ®Steve®, I don’t even see a metaphorical one?

Unintimidated does not seem to be your response to a simple statement of reality and a series of rather easy questions that are apparently defined in your reality as personal attacks (insert tiny violins). Near Walker-like precision in ignoring the questions and diverting focus when unable to give an answer, is what I am seeing.

    2. Steve, you’re absolutely right….I didn’t attack OFA for the page you provided a link to.

Would you like to know why?

Because I’m not a huge fan of President Obama, and I’ve never visited his website. It’s hard to criticize something you’re not aware of.

      However, thanks for your concern.

  2. Sorry people, not to be sticking up for the sociopath, but this is another case where Walker can claim he had, “no knowledge,” of something done by the, “Friends of Scott Walker,” the group responsible for sending the letter. Perhaps this friends group is one that is not yet a part of John Doe II.

    1. I should have read a bit more before my comment and I would have noted that, “The Friends of Scott Walker,” is his official re-election campaign organization.

By now most of you must have seen the updates to the original story at the MJS and Cognitive Dissidence where the staffer who signed the letter has been fired from the Walker campaign organization.
