Jason Wisneski still dealing with aftermath of animal mistreatment revelations

Apparently Jason Wisneski (pictured left in his booking photo), a Republican running for the Brown County Board of Supervisors, now won’t admit he and his wife called Democratic State Sen. Dave Hansen a “murderer” in comments they made on the Green Bay Press Gazette website after the Press Gazette reported on Wisneski’s previous conviction for intentionally mistreating an animal.

After the comments made by Wisneski and his wife were reported here (and presumably elsewhere), the Chairman of the Brown County Republican Party issued a statement calling on Wisneski to resign his leadership position within the Brown County Republican Party.

In response to the uproar his despicable comments created, Wisneski issued a statement denying he ever called Sen. Hansen a “murderer.”

In a statement responding to the county Republican Party, Wisneski denied calling Hansen a murderer and said his comments were taken out of context and “doctored and photoshopped” on some “liberal websites.”

“In a stressful moment I merely pointed out what I perceived as media bias because a tragedy was brought up in my life two weeks before my election that was truly not my fault but if a liberal politician goes through a similar painful tragedy it is not covered by the press with the same vigor,” he wrote.

While he didn’t name Blogging Blue directly, Wisneski was likely referring to this post from March 19 which included screenshots of the deplorable comments made by Wisneski and his wife on the Green Bay Press Gazette website using their Facebook accounts.

To be clear, the screenshots I posted were unaltered in any way, shape, or form, with the exception of the red box outlining Wisneski’s specific comment referring to Dave Hansen as a “murderer,” but that box was added to spare readers from having to read the rest of Wisneski’s diatribe.
