Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) on Wednesday suggested that men in “inner cities” who refused to work were one of the main causes of poverty in the United States.
In an interview with conservative radio host Bill Bennett that was first noticed by Igor Volsky at Think Progress, Ryan reflected on his controversial poverty discussion at last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference.
“We call it a poverty trap,” he explained. “There are incentives not to work, and to stay where you are.”
Ryan also pointed to the work of Charles Murray, a white nationalist, who has used “racist pseudoscience and misleading statistics to argue that social inequality is caused by the genetic inferiority,” according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
“That’s this tailspin or spiral that we’re looking at in our communities,” he told Bennett. “Your buddy Charles Murray or Bob Putnam over at Harvard, those guys have written books on this.”
“Which is, we have got this tailspin of culture in our inner cities in particular of men not working, and just generations of men not even thinking about working and learning the value and culture of work,” Ryan opined. “So, there’s a real culture problem here that has to be dealt with.”

Actually, Murray is partially right. There is a genetic difference between the blacks and whites. But the better genetics belong to the blacks not the whites. This has indeed led to a division of cultures. Why? Because blacks know that they are resented and suppressed because they are in many ways superior. They have thus formed an anti-culture with survival of the fittest and rejection of conventional wisdom and law as prime directives.
While this notion may be relatively new in Wisconsin, it is as old as the war between the states in Memphis, Tennessee where I grew up. My mother, having lived in Texas where a similar ethnic prejudice has always existed, insisted on sending me and my siblings to catholic schools, which at least preached ethnic tolerance while the schools were segregated.
To comply with social norms, the parochial administration built schools for African Americans in segregated neighborhoods. Thus even Catholics were segregated by race in Memphis until desegregation became law. Soon after that public sanitation workers went on strike and Martin Luther King was killed in Memphis after supporting a strike march. The pastor of our church also marched with King and the workers; consequently almost every white family who could afford it moved east out of the parish.
The school and church would have been shuttered if it hadn’t been for some catholic blacks sending their children across town to our school to avoid the violent and destructive atmosphere that had developed in their neighborhoods. These children were among our best students and athletes, although still resented by some of the mothers in our formerly all white parish. We were blessed with a convent full of Sisters of Charity teachers who asked to be assigned to our school, to work with the transition.
They pulled all the single desks out of the school rooms and put in tables to gather groups around for inter-class study and discussions. They introduced field trips for social interaction and civil study. They introduced S conversational Spanish for 30 minutes as day and dropped all grammar study. Our school, dispite having to raise money through dinners, bingo and carnivals to field athletics and keep the doors open, became a city leader in both academics and athletics with these South Memphis students at the forefront, several going on to become leaders and student presidents at the local high schools as well.
I have met priests from countries like Nigeria and Kenya who can speak as many as eleven languages. Correspondingly I know this: to be a superior athlete you must have a superior mind because, as everyone knows, the mind controls the physical body in both conscious and subconscious ways. If we, as an ethnic group, react negatively to another group, that group will develop an equal and opposite reaction both consciously and subconsciously. “Treat others as you would like to be treated” is a critical key to social development.

Ryan’s class of never-worked-a-day-in-his-life, and like-generations before him are a cultural problem that must be dealt with.
How about a petition calling on Ryan to apologize and retract his racist and hateful comment? His regret for being “inarticulate” is cowardly, an insult to the peoples’ intelligence, and a lie.
Ryan has betrayed and denied his Catholic faith with such a statement.
As always, D12 misunderstands by choice, takes words out of context and points the finger. Perhaps D12 should request a clarification rather than unleash his own hateful comments.

Whites superior genetics are shown in I.Q. and tolerance. When the Whites lose their tolerance, the entire world shakes, as it did in World War II. Cleansing the blacks from this Continent would require merely the Political will.

To put that in perspective, US GDP in 2012 was around $16.5 trillion. We blew a lot more than the $6 trillion, they’re claiming in Iraq and Afghanistan. Social Security’s Trust Fund is $2.3 trillion. Bank of America is just one Wall Street bank. They all have derivative exposure, but they won’t disclose how much. I’ve seen estimates of $700 trillion.

Well, Kevin, I’d venture to say that most are superior to you, at least in current knowledge, if not physically. Africa has been cited by the science of anthropology as “the cradle of mankind” from which all ethnic groups evolved. DNA research seems to indicate they did crawl out of the African womb to form all the early civilizations, with the lack of European sun and white mountaintops bleaching their previously sun resistant and camouflaged skin. It is even speculated that Jesus of Nazareth was a dark-skinned individual with negro blood.
My own hypothesis is that the “first world” you cite is a more a result of the western world’s adoption of Christianity over Paganism and many other isms rather than any genetic superiority. Surprised someone of your intelligence doesn’t see that.
