Freakin’ Halloweekend: Spotlight on No Class (As Motorhead!)

Freakin' Halloweekend

In anticipation of “Freakin’ Halloweekend” – coming Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at the High Noon Saloon in Madison – we’re taking a moment to profile and interview some of the bands who will be donning musical costumes for the occasion. Please see the schedule below.

Q: What band are you performing as for Freakin’ Halloweekend?

A: The greatest band in the history of rock and roll… MOTORHEAD!!!!!

Q: Who are your members in your band and are they in other local Madison bands? If so, what are they?

A: Mike from the Rotten Tommys as Philthy Animal; Mike formerly of Tangy as Fast Eddie; Joe of The Gran Fury as Lemmy.

Q: When you were younger (or heck, even now), what band/musician did you want to be (or dress up as for Halloween) when you grew up?

A: Mike wanted to be Hendrix but Jimi was black and skinny and Mike is neither of those. He’s got Voodoo on guitar though. The other Mike probably wanted to be Mitch Mitchell so he could watch Jimi Hendrix every night. Joe won’t admit this, but he secretly wanted to be Lemmy so he could carry Hendrix’s gear every night.

Q: What do you think the band you’re being would think if they saw you? Would they be flattered? Outraged? Impressed?

A: They wouldn’t give two fucks. Lemmy would be on the video poker machine with a Jack and Coke and Philthy would be on the toilet I’m sure. As for Eddie, he’d probably leave and form another tribute band with Pete Way.

Q: Are you dressing up as the band?

A: Facial warts and all

Q: What other band playing at FHW are you most excited about seeing?

A: ZZ Top and Janis Joplin. We like those guys with the beards a lot, and hippie chicks are easy.

Q: What experience do you want the audience to take away from your show?

A: Stone deaf forever.

  1. Expect a set filled with uplifting ditties about amphetamines and underage women, played at excruciating volumes. What’s not to like?

    Thank you, Mr. Schabow!
