Blogging Blue’s 2014 in review, along with a request

As 2014 draws to a close, I just wanted to share an update on where we’re at here at Blogging Blue. This past year we’ve had over 100,000 visitors and over 400,000 page views on the site, and we’re creeping in on a couple of milestone: we’re close to reaching our three-thousandth comment and we’re also on the verge of 3 million page views since Blogging Blue first started. I don’t tell you this to brag, but because I think what we’ve accomplished here is amazing.

I want to take a minute to thank all of you for what you’ve contributed to Blogging Blue’s success this year – this blog wouldn’t be what it is without a great group of contributors, as well as all of you who’ve shared your thoughts via your comments. While we haven’t been free from some “drama” and issues over the past year, I think we’ve worked hard as a group to address those issues and move forward, but that’s where I’m hoping you’ll help. I’d like to know how you think Blogging Blue can be improved. You can share your thoughts in the comments, or if you’d prefer a little more anonymity you can send us a message via the contact page of the blog.

Thanks!

  1. As a former consultant for several years to a national message board, several rules or protocols were observed:

    1. No name calling allowed of fellow commenters or contributor.

    2. Topics were closed if discussion became unrelated to the topic.

These applied only to the extreme cases.

  2. Congratulations on the several milestones and longevity of Blogging Blue, Zach.

Curse of the First Amendment, not all comment is informed, reasoned, intelligent, on topic or even truthful. Truth’s shining light significantly dimmed and shaded under the current low wattage judicial, executive and legislative leadership and majority and their incurious fellow travelers.

Besides citizens in the streets or walking out of jobs, or boycotting the sponsors of these conservative terrorists, who you gonna call?

May we all find a way to survive the current political inquisition in the coming year.
