Scott Walker’s “Our American Revival” PAC uses foreign stock images in new ad

Gov. Scott Walker recently announced the formation of his Our American Revival PAC as he swings his 2016 presidential campaign into full gear, and this week the PAC unveiled its first ad.

However, as Andrew Kaczynski of Buzzfeed notes, the ad features a bunch of stock footage from foreign countries, because apparently Gov. Walker’s PAC couldn’t find any stock footage shot of Americans, by Americans, in America.

The image of the elderly man staring off into the distance comes from Dualstock, an Italian company.

Dualstock, according to their website, is the work of two Italian-based photographers Diego Cervo and Robert Fumagalli. Many of the images on the Dualstock page are also on Cervo’s Shutterstock page.

Seventeen seconds into the video is the image of a woman paying her bills that comes from Polish-based photographer Sylwia Bogdanska.

If Scott Walker wants to bring about an American revival, he could start by spending his PAC’s money to “buy American.”
