Help Emerge Wisconsin Celebrate President’s Day in Madison!

From my email inbox comes this announcement of an upcoming event for Emerge Wisconsin.

This year, we have an additional reason to celebrate President’s Day. As we gear up for the 2016 election, we are eagerly anticipating the very real possibility of electing our first female president. How did we (finally!) get to this point? By building the bench of women who are ready to run. Please join Emerge Wisconsin as we celebrate the immense progress we have made and our dedication to taking that progress all the way to the White House.

What: Emerge Wisconsin President’s Day Fundraiser
When: Monday, February 16th, from 5:30PM – 7:30PM
Where: Home of Dane County Board Chair Sharon Corrigan, 6991 Friendship Lane in Middleton
Why: Because we need your support to continue to build the bench of women from local offices all the way to Washington
How: Tickets and sponsorships available here

See you there!

  1. DPW, Please, please, please stop saying “build the bench” of women. Like” binders of women”, it’s canned and cheesy.

My brain is already overfull of the catch phrase from Jason Rae’s Q&A.

Try using something more inspiring and meaningful, like the word cadre.

    1. “Cadre” sounds like a criminal organization to me. Not sure of a better phrase. I agree that the repeated use of “build the bench” lately is a bit cheesy.
