It goes without saying that yesterday’s Supreme Court decision allowing same sex marriage in all 50 states was historic, so feel free to discuss that – or whatever else happens to be on your mind.

In my journey from passionate conservative to apathetic centrist,this the first issue that just didn’t make sense to me. I never could quite understand why the Republicans were so adamantly against same sex marriage. How come the party that is supposed to be in favor of less government interference feels it necessary to regulate love?
It’s been amazing to see the progress on marriage equality in the past couple of decades. I’ve gone from thinking we would never get there to this Supreme Court decision. Only 9 years ago I fought the Texas state constitutional amendment where we lost 253 out of 254 counties – and now these same counties are issuing marriage licenses!
