Scott Walker promises to sign abortion ban that does not include exceptions for rape, incest

Yesterday Gov. Scott Walker promised he sign a 20-week abortion ban in Wisconsin regardless of whether such a ban had an exception for cases in which the woman was a victim of rape or incest.

Gov. Scott Walker said Monday he’s prepared to sign a 20-week abortion ban bill that has no exception for cases of rape or incest.

Asked Monday about the bill following a speech at a Boys & Girls Club event in Delavan, Walker said he would sign the measure banning the procedure after 20 weeks whether or not it had those exemptions.

No doubt Republicans in the Legislature will move quickly to give Gov. Walker the abortion ban he wants in order to further burnish his conservative credentials for the extremists who comprise the core of Republican presidential primary voters.

  1. This man is willing to sacrifice the life of a mother or bring into this world a non viable fetus just for the sake of political credentials. He simply has no moral compass nor shame.

    1. Jerry, you might want to look into the definition of viable. The only folks bringing non viable fetuses into the world are the abortionists, after they have destroyed the viability via skull crushing tools and the like.

      1. Are your store products free trade or fair trade, and have you certified what you sell is not produced by forced child labor? And you suggest Jerry needs to check on his language usage.

Scott Walker was for abortion being a decision between any woman herself and her doctor prior to officially beginning his campaign for potus, i.e. since he was re-elected last Nov.

We know that Walker has no concern for human life with his current electioneering proposals and willingness to commit US troops to kill “others,” in the Middle East.

We know Scott Walker has no concern for human life as he is refusing to allow Federal medicaid dollars into the state in order to cut off the elderly and disabled from a successful and liked IRIS program and to submit the poor in this state to to higher costs only for the potential benefit of him gaining votes in the early potus primaries. He is a sociopath plain and simple.

Walker has no concern for women or their personal health matters.

The image of a dismembered fetus is a repeated lie, which makes you a liar. What’s the exchange rate between the US and India and the US and Africa?

        1. “The image of a dismembered fetus is a repeated lie” says non. Very well non. In that case, perhaps you could share with us the means by which a viable living fetus becomes a dead fetus. “

          1. Denis,

If you want government forcing birth, you’re no friend of the Second Amendment.

Why aren’t you forced-birthers “saving” any “babies?”

Who is stopping you from contracting with the Ob/Gyn and the mother to adopt the fetus? You decide “viability.”

Why are you so lazy that you won’t even try to raise money for the neo-natal unit and to the effort of finding caring parents?

Why aren’t you demanding a death certificate and a homicide investigation after EVERY miscarriage? There’s no statute of limitations on murder.

“Pregnant woman fights Wisconsin’s fetal protection law”

            “According to court records:

A home pregnancy test confirmed Beltran’s condition in May. On July 2, she went to West Bend Clinic at St. Joseph’s Hospital for a prenatal visit and disclosed that she had been taking Suboxone she got from a friend to help wean her off painkillers on which she feared she was becoming dependent in 2012.

The physician’s assistant recommended Beltran get her own Suboxone prescription and be monitored by a doctor, but Beltran declined, saying she did not want to use it anymore.

Two weeks later, a social worker came to Beltran’s home and said she really needed to continue Suboxone, and again Beltran declined.

Two days after that, police and sheriff’s deputies arrested Beltran at her home, handcuffed her and took her to a hospital. A doctor examined her and declared her and the pregnancy healthy and said in-patient treatment was unnecessary.”

      2. You literally have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

Go back to Charlie Sykes’ website so you can feel good about yourself and your ilk, and leave the intelligent discussion to the adults in the room.

        1. This is so sad and bordering on ridiculous. Please tell me how many RAPED women are there that wait 20 weeks to make this decision. And if the standard is rape victims can decide up untill the day of vaginal birth please lets get everyone on the record in regards to that. Seriously, victims of rape have up untill 40 weeks to abort the unwanted baby. Sounds right, we need to do everything we can for rape victims who want to wait as long As possible. I’m certainly not victim blaming here. I just want to establish at what point rape victims should not be allowed to abort the babies. We should also consider allowing them to kill the baby post birth. Anyone that cares at all about the rape victim surely would agree.

How many other non existent pregnancies is the abortion bill overlooking.

  2. Some one has to protect the innocents from the Left that would slaughter the minorities Downs, crippled right up to birth. Lots of regimes in history would love you people. Margaret Sanger would give you all medals.

  3. Remember all the concern Jim Steineke and other GOP legislators had when Lena Taylor made a comparison to rape a couple of weeks ago?

With tha in mind, I’m sure they’ll vote to allow exceptions for rape in this bill, and go against Walkers wishes. I’m sure Shrimpy Steineke and company weren’t just shedding crocodile tears to distract from this “crap” budget, and really do care about the needs of tape victims. Riiiight?

    1. trademark, appreciate the confirmation that you have had multiple abortions. How many have you had? How many months were you pregnant, before each one?

  4. This is a political call by the phoney GOP pro-lifers to awaken the clinic bombers/arsonists and the doctor assassins if this bill is not passed.. Of course it is also a lame attempt to convey the impression Walker and fellow GOP legislative hypocrites are pro-life just like the 1% who fund them at the expense of the middle class’ income disparity.. .

I’m pro-choice and respect the right of others, even though I may disagree, to follow their beliefs, religion, or conscience in terminating a pregnancy. We are a Republic, not a theocracy.

My wife and I chose to have twelve children although we had one “unborn” known back then as a spontaneous abortion or miscarriage. Needless to say, it was a traumatic event, but we were comforted by our Catholic belief that our “unborn” was in the loving arms of our Father, a conclusion also arrived at by Pope John Paul VI some years later in one of his pronouncements regarding abortion and the “unborn.”
