  1. Most important to remember is that Denmark is a MONARCHY. Notice the difference in our so-called democracy where all politicians are suspect at worst and constrained by time and popularity at best. Americans are all about term limits and transparency. They do not have faith that the people they elect to power will act in their best interests– or even in the best interest of the county.

Nobles born and trained to lead feel a familia responsibility to do the right thing in most cases not only for the public but also for their own prodigy. They are raised to know and understand political issues, a great advantage over the American politician or some small country dictator who achieves power for a limited time over things he does not fully understand and often fears.

The advantage of a democracy should be that the public has an opportunity to select the most capable person available, but we know that the opposite often occurs; and we get people who are lackeys for big donors or popular for reasons unrelated to real political acumen. There are no real educational requirements for any political office. As we come to the end of the huge environmental advantages we took from native Americans and the religious and patriotic fervor that developed a working government, the United States of America finds herself in need of serious reform. The “free” market or labor bosses are not going to get it done.

  2. Wow, so much wrong information here.

First off, we have a 37 hour work week, not a 33 hour one.

Second, we don’t have a minimum wage, and certainly not at a round “20 dollars”. What we do have, is a heavily unionised work force, which means that anyone who is not a student usually earns at least 100kr an hour (by current exchange rate, that is around 14USD).

Third, while theoretically we’re a monarchy (in response to Cat), the royal family has no actual power. They’re purely figure heads, nothing more. We’re a completely normal democracy.

  3. It’s hilarious because American aid and military defense is the reason why they have those things and America doesn’t. I don’t know if you are aware of that. The same is true for many countries.
