If 2012 Donald Trump is to be believed, 2016 Donald Trump lacks courage (VIDEO)

Last night Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump skipped the Republican presidential debate. In choosing to shy away from the debate, Trump cited his poor treatment at the hands of Fox News personality Megyn Kelly as the reason he chose to not to participate, but back in 2012 Donald Trump told Kelly he thought any candidates who chose to avoid debates lacked courage.

Donald Trump is skipping Thursday’s GOP debate, but less than four years ago he said he thought doing so was cowardly.

Rolling Stone reports Trump was interviewed by Megyn Kelly in December 2012 when Trump was set to moderate a Republican debate for NewsMax and Ion Television. However, many candidates, including Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann, refused to participate.

“We’re not seeing a lot of courage here, are we? Not lots of courage. These Republicans, they’re supposed to be brave!” Trump told Kelly on Fox News at the time.

Watch for yourselves as Trump version 2012 explains how skipping debates is cowardly.

The idea that a blustering buffoon like Donald Trump is scared of Megyn Kelly is absolutely pathetic, because if you’re a presidential candidate who can’t stand up to a little questioning from a news reporter, you’re surely not going to be able to stand up to someone like Vladimir Putin.
