Violence and threats of violence have absolutely no place in our nation’s political process, and what happened at tonight’s Donald Trump rally in Chicago is disappointing. The behavior of the pro-Trump and anti-Trump crowds was beyond the pale, but what happened tonight is absolutely the direct result of Donald Trump’s rhetoric.

For virtually his entire presidential campaign Donald Trump has encouraged violence against those individuals who’ve been protesting his events, and so what happened at tonight’s rally in Chicago falls firmly at the feet of Donald Trump.
