Enough Of THIS Crap Already

So far today I have seen derogatory posts that included Monica Lewinsky and/or President Bill Clinton on Facebook. I assume they are making the rounds of the other social media as well. These were posted by supporters of a certain male candidate for president on the Democratic ticket.

This has nothing to do with the 2016 election nor any candidate running for any office this year.

Ms. Lewinsky doesn’t deserve to have her past indiscretions recalled so that you can make a mean spirited attack on a political opponent.

If this is the best you can do to support your preferred candidate, I suggest that you just shut the flock up…because you are starting to convince me that your candidate ain’t worth a sh*t.

  1. Can you provide links to the FB authors?

I support Sen. Sanders. I’ll be happy to reinforce your concerns.

    1. I would rather not provide names…one is a long time personal friend and I relayed the message personally)…and one is a now former friend.

I realize that this isn’t official campaign stuff and the result of overzealous supporters but I don’t think it can go unchallenged.

    Ed, explain your logic:

If a supporter of Sanders says or acts in a way that is unbecoming…how is that attributable to Sanders?

Your comment is offensive to me– using your logic…Hillary is at fault for your comments.

More than likely, an overly passionate support for one candidates leads to temporary irrational
    thoughts.

Yes, I am a supporter of Sanders.

Advice to all: ignore Facebook, Twitter, and Fox News.

    1. As I replied to John: “I realize that this isn’t official campaign stuff and the result of overzealous supporters…” and at no point in my rant did I accuse the Sanders campaign of supporting such stunts. Which is why I intentionally did not actually use his name nor tag him to the blog. I don’t want to smear him.

But if his supporters can’t extol Senator Sanders virtues (and he has many)…and can only go after Ms. Clinton via historical events she had no part in (when there are plenty of valid criticisms to be had)…those individuals should bow out. They are ethically challenged.

I will post something similar if yahoos from the Clinton camp behave in a similar manner. We don’t need to try to emulate the three ring circus that is the GOP race this year.

And why would you assume that I am a Clinton supporter? I have posted nothing in support of her campaign to date that I am aware of.

  3. “Enough …Already”

    YES!

I believe some of the Progressive attacks on Hillary do not serve their cause.

There is no doubt that Bernie has a more complete agenda for the middle class and the disadvantaged. But Hillary IMO has the advantage of experience.at CEO level as Secretary of State.

Using the Conservative playbook or sources is divisive and self defeating.
