Where Are the Three Million Illegal Voters?

No, really! Weren’t we promised proof of the illegal voting? Didn’t the media interview some computer maven who had the list and just needed a little bit more time to verify it? Where is it?

Well never fear, the president is getting right on it: Trump to create voter fraud commission led by VP Pence

Donald Trump says he is creating a commission headed by Vice President Mike Pence to investigate what the US leader alleges was massive voter fraud in the 2016 election.

No public evidence has emerged of large-scale illegal voting in the November election, and Trump and the White House have failed to substantiate the president’s claim.

The fraud was apparent, Trump said, “when you look at the registration and you see dead people that have voted, when you see people that are registered in two states that voted in two states, when you see other things, when you see illegals — people that are not citizens — and they are on the registration rolls.”

“It’s really a bad situation. It’s really bad” Trump said.

Yeah it’s really bad when you take the counterpoint into account:

Trump’s own lawyers have stated in legal filings that there was no evidence of fraud in the November 8 election.

And counter counter point:

But on Sunday the president promised “to set up a commission to headed by Vice President Mike Pence and we’re going to look at it very, very carefully.”

So, do you think anything will actually come of this?

  1. The illegal voters are where the wild-eyed terrorists from the list of banned countries are located. In someone’s imagination. I am very concerned with the ability of Trump to make claims–like those protesting in favor of 9/11 in New Jersey–recall that crazy talk was never nailed away. Over and over he is allowed to make claims and there is no Walter Cronkite type personality that can tell this nation NOT TRUE and have it believed. We are in a dreadful place. And what happens when an international or domestic crisis demands that we have faith in the words from the Oval Office?

  2. Bob Dohanl is not even the ball park when it comes to this issue. Recall conservatives wanted Wisconsinites to think there was voter fraud in this state. I was in the assembly watching as the bill was dealt with and debated on the floor. Data shows that nothing nefarious was happening at the polling places in Wisconsin. NOTHING. There were no streams of voters pretending to be someone else, or voting twice. There were no throngs of folks using fake aliases to cast a ballot, and there were no elections that had been decided by all the wild claims. The only drama that takes place regarding elections are when Republicans breathlessly try to gin up their base with false-hoods about voter fraud. We also need to be reminded that no Republican was able to stand up in the legislature and produce any court cases, judge’s rulings, or names of those who cast fraudulent votes. If there was such rampant voting abuses why did the Attorney General not investigate? Bob knows why. Because voter ID and the false claims made now about the 2016 elections are simply mindless wanderings.

  3. President Trump announced that the list of three million voters is being audited by the IRS and is not available at this time.
