Whither Obamacare: Governor Walker Doesn’t Know Which Way to Go

Between being the chairman of the Republican Governors Association, a bestie of House Speaker Paul Ryan and a candidate for re-election as governor of Wisconsin in 2018, Scott Walker doesn’t know where to place his bets on the Affordable Care Act and the American Health Care Act.

But I do have a question for him based on his statement:

“If more people came into the market because the (insurance) mandate was gone and some of the taxes were gone and more people entered the marketplace, potentially, if you have more people participating, that could actually, theoretically lower premiums,” Walker said.

Why would he think more people will enter the market once the mandate to buy health insurance is removed? Almost everyone expects exactly the opposite to happen…even those proposing this bill. And at this point we need to be beyond the ‘theoretical’. We need to actually provide healthcare for everyone.
