The Potential Futility In a WI Trade Mission to Mexico:

The opening line of an article in the business section of this morning’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel just about says it all:

The timing may seem less than ideal, but the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. will lead a trade mission to Mexico in mid-June.

So the lieutenant governor is going to lead a trade mission to Mexico. The very country who is being very very unfair to the United States in trade dealings. The very country who is taking unfair advantage of NAFTA. sad.

But if President Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R – WI) get their way and implement any type of border adjustment tax on imports…and Mexican imports in particular…Wisconsin can pretty much kiss exports to Mexico good bye.
