Wisconsin US Senator Ron Johnson was one of the Republican senators who spent our nation’s Independence Day in Moscow. He says the Russians were warned about 2018 election interference:

Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson said Thursday that he and others in a congressional delegation to Moscow put Russians on notice not to interfere with the 2018 midterm elections.

“The point was made,” Johnson said. “I think they are very well aware of the fact that a way to blow up this first step would be to interfere in the 2018 elections.

“They were very well put on notice that we’re not buying what they’re saying. That we’re basically issuing, let me be kind here, guidance that it would not be smart to be caught meddling in 2018. I think they got the message. There’s no way they couldn’t have had.”

A: President Obama did this in 2016 and the GOP wasn’t happy about it and IT DIDN’T WORK! Why is it going to work this time?

B: The 2018 elections have been going on for over 6 months not counting all of the preliminary run up to actual candidates declaring their intentions. Nothing like be timely!

C: What actual action has the Senate or the House taken to protect the American elections or to protect American cyber-assets since 2016? The answer is essentially NOTHING.

More hogwash out of Moscow on the Potomac.
