Considering all of the odds and ends floating around the witch hunt, why not indulge ourselves in a little conspiracy theory. I mean considering the convolutions around and from the campaign in 2016 and in developing their campaign for 2020 and the on going alternate facts leaving the White House everyday…this would make sense coming from the man who claims to be able to shoot people down in the street and not suffer any political consequences (from a NY Times article on the most dangerous man in Washington: Majority Leader Mitch McConnell):

On Oct. 7, 2016, the Department of Homeland Security and Clapper’s office put out a joint statement, acknowledging for the first time that the intelligence community was “confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of emails from U.S. persons and institutions, including from U.S. political organizations.”

Yes…a lot of us heard that at the time…but a majority of America probably forgot about it b-c-a-u-s-e:

But within hours, the news was swamped by the publication by The Washington Post of a video of Trump on the set of “Access Hollywood,” in which he bragged about sexually assaulting women.

Coincidence? From my current vantage point I am starting to think not. So many of us thought this was damning video…but Candidate Trump walked away with nary a scratch…and the investigations into Russian involvement in the 2016 election has devolved into a ‘witch hunt’.
