Putting My Wallet Where My Mouth Is…

has been relatively easy so far. But this past week I got two emails from my own local electeds suggesting that I donate campaign funds to their colleagues from other areas. That’s tempting…and it would be legal. BUT:

my position is that only eligible voters should contribute to candidates in the races where they are eligible to vote. So I will not contribute to outside candidates.

Now the gray area. My position also wants to exclude third parties from supporting campaigns. So does that mean I shouldn’t contribute to party national committees? or the party senate committees? or party congressional committees? Until I work that out in my mind I will refrain from contributing to those as well. Not that my paltry sums will be missed…but?
