The pundits and some of the media keep claiming that if the president were impeached and the Senate found him not guilty…that it would put wind in his re-election sails and he would be unstoppable.
But the GOP actions seem to be sending a message in exactly the opposite direction…they are fighting tooth and nail to stop the progress of the impeachment inquiry.
If it were actually to their advantage in 2020, why aren’t they just sitting back and letting it run its course?
