No matter how you look at it, 80% agreement on anything is Wisconsin is an incredible number. And the last Marquette Poll said that 80% of Wisconsinites supported universal background checks for gun purchases.
Yet the Wisconsin GOP simply does not want to take up the subject…probably to spite Governor Evers who supports it. But 80% is overwhelming…there is no reason to avoid passing universal background checks.
And nonsense that it violates the 2nd Amendment…we already have background checks for most gun sales…we just want it extended to ALL gun sales.
P.S. one of the major foot draggers in Madison is Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald…who happens to be running for the WI 5th CD seat…in case you missed our other posts!
