Chris Kapenga acknowledges considering run for governor…

And this in nearly the last person we would consider for governor of Wisconsin:

Less than a year into Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ first term, the Republican field to challenge him is already shaping up.

State Sen. Chris Kapenga is the latest Republican to openly consider running for governor in 2022, joining former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson and Delafield businessman Kevin Nicholson as potential contenders.

“There’s nothing getting done and it’s a little bit frustrating,” Kapenga said in an interview about the idea of running against Evers in 2022. “Obviously the Legislature and the governor, when you’re in different parties, there’s not as much that can be done … but I don’t see him jumping in and trying to govern it better.”

emphasis mine

That last quote is really something, given the Republicans’ attempts… from immediately after the election last November before Governor Evers even took office to this very moment…to stifle and prevent enacting anything related to the new governor’s initiatives.

  1. Actually there is a great deal that CAN get done. Fitzgerald, Vos and the GOP legislative majority are, sadly for the state, far too arrogant, ignorant, ideologically constipated and beholden to one-percent masters to fulfill their duties and responsibilities as public servants.

  2. It’s hilarious that the Delafield Dumba$$ thinks that he has any profile outside of the RW BubbleWorld known as the GOPs in the 262. Remember the mess where Kapenga tried self-dealing with Teslas this year? Because I sure do.

And the thought of Russian Ronnie Johnson being on a ballot anywhere in 2022 is equally laughable. He’ll be lucky to be an incumbent Senator by that point, given how deeply that crook is tied up with Russia-NRA-Ukraine stuff.

Go ahead and try to obstruct Evers, GOPs. Any Wisconsinite with a clue knows who’ll be at fault with any problems and dysfunction. And it won’t be Tony.
