This is one more piece of crap email that I rail about that Democratic candidates send out. This is the title on the email that I received from US Representative Cheri Bustos (D-IL 17th CD).
First, I find these negative campaign ads to be appalling. Yes, I know negative campaigning supposedly works…but it has stopped working for me. Don’t know if this stuff stirs her base or not but I imagine there are other loyal Democrats who feel similarly to how I feel. And whatever affection I may have had for Rep. Bustos has dissipated. Of course I couldn’t vote for her anyway…so she hasn’t really lost much.
Second, I would much rather have an email that spells out the issues in Washington…how she has contributed means to solve them…and what she intends to do in the future. I have gotten quite a few emails from her campaign and so I know she is capable of pushing out a positive message.
Third, why the hell is a US Representative worrying about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell? Yes he is a complete and utter defining denizen of the Washington swamp…but unless she’s running for the Senate she can’t do much about him…and unless I move to Kentucky, neither can I. Let’s talk about the house, please!
