Why are we training Saudi pilots at bases in the United States?

Why wasn’t this pilot vetted by the Saudis before being sent to the US?

Why wasn’t this pilot vetted by the US before being allowed to come here?

Why was a Saudi national, Air Force officer or not, armed on a US military base?

Why are we even still allies with the Saudis?
