There is absolutely no functional reason that a shot gun has to look like an AR-15 style assault weapon other than marketing.

And for you do it yourselfers out there…a warning from the vendors:

Unfortunately, you can’t swap out the handguard, stock, or rails with AR 15 parts. The magazines do not drop free and have to be removed with a little force.

So if you just have to go all Rambo while hunting quail…or maybe go all Dick Cheney style…we have found your weapon of choice.
