Wisconsin Supreme Court takes case challenging Gov. Tony Evers’ stay-at-home order:

The Wisconsin Supreme Court agreed Friday to decide whether to keep in place Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ stay-at-home order that he says is the best way to save lives during the coronavirus pandemic.

The high court, which is controlled 5-2 by conservatives, said it would hold arguments Tuesday. Like others held in recent weeks, they will be conducted by video conference because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The court is expected to issue a ruling quickly after that.

In the meantime, elsewhere outside of the Capitol rotunda:

The justices agreed to take the case just hours after the state reported an increase of 460 coronavirus cases. It was the second day in a row of a record increase.

More than 7,300 people in Wisconsin have tested positive for the illness, including 327 who have died.

  1. vos must be trying to keep all that extra staff he hired busy. It’s time for the majority in this state to make OUR voices heard. Maybe a recall of these judges would be a good idea.
