Ted Cruz Has A Short Memory…

In the wake of the US Supreme Court decision to allow the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to stand for now, many members of the Republican elected officialdom are very unhappy. It is important to remember that they didn’t weigh in on the legality of DACA itself, but the procedure used by the Trump regime to over turn it.

But following in the footsteps of his glorious leader, Senator Ted Cruz railed against the decision…berating Chief Justice John Roberts particularly but the whole court for supporting illegal immigration.

And yes, DACA recipients or Dreamers, are here illegally. But not of their own accord. Minor children don’t have decision making authority when their parents decide to move…whether it’s across the street, across town, or to another country. And this is where Sen. Cruz gets lost.

He was born in Canada and came to the United States when his parents brought him here in 1974. He was 4 years old at the time. He had no agency in influencing the decision to move. YES, his parents came here legally…but the point is, he had no ability to decide…he went where his parents went.

Now, the Trump regime has already announced new efforts to rescind DACA. It will most likely be a campaign issue this fall and we may hear about it tonight from the president’s rally in Tulsa.

But if any group of emigres’ represent the best in America, it is the Dreamers. They are required to go to school or go to work and pay taxes and have a clean record. For most of them, the United States is the only home they have ever known…pretty much just like Sen. Ted Cruz…a man of short memory and even shorter integrity.
