Not so. The 2nd Amendment responded to fear of a standing army, to be sure; [...] Let’s take a look at the text of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution: “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Conveniently, those folks who are opposed to any kind of reasonable measures [...] I am not even sure what to say about this…I am totally incredulous that someone would think that a 22 caliber rifle is a reasonable gift for a four year old…that a parent wouldn’t keep it locked up at all times…and that once again the I didn’t think it was loaded comment comes up.
