The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities has analyzed Paul Ryan (R,WI-o1), much ballyhooed “Roadmap for America’s future” and has found it to be a dead-end for most American’s. The winners are the wealthy (given his donors, it isn’t too surprising)with the report stating: it would result in massive transfer of resources from the broad majority of American’s to the nation’s wealthiest individuals.

In his 1 man filibuster Jim Bunning, Senator KY is giving the finger to not only reporters, but to America. In a further example of Republican nonsense in the Senate, Bunning has single-handedly stopped unemployment benefits, COBRA health insurance co-payments and slashed physician Medicare payments 21%. WI GOP Representative Paul Ryan is one of 19 Republicans to vote against greater competition for health insurance companies when he voted no on the Health Insurance Industry Fair Competition Act. The Palm Center Report “Gays in Foreign Militaries 2010: A Global Primer” was released today. The report refutes the negative positions being touted by General Casey, Senator McCain and others based on their prejudices towards openly gays and lesbians serving in the United States Military. Don’t Ask Don’t Tell deserves to be banished to the trash bin of useless legislation and troglodytes that don’t see it that way need to get out of their caves and read the facts on the lack of any negative consequences that military forces around the world have had with open service by gays and lesbians. The DNC has issued a new ad attacking Senator Shelby and the Senate GOP for their obstructionism. The ad rightfully uses national security risks from Senator Shelby’s unprecedented universal hold on all Obama nominees until he gets his pork barrel projects. Gallup poll results show that only 4 states are solidly Republican vs. the 23 states that are solidly Democratic. In other polling results, Daily Kos sponsored a poll by Research 2000 that showcases some out of touch positions by Republicans about Obama, about issues facing the country, about gays and lesbians and about a wide range of positions outside the mainstream of American thought.
