I started working on this blog about a week ago and then set it aside when Tim John posted that he was attending Drinking Liberally. I thought I’d talk to him a bit and add any new information before posting. Well he showed up but I got distracted by other conversations. Well after reading [...]

Given all the hoopla surrounding their visitor, resident and illegal alien unfriendly laws as evidenced by SB 1070, Jan Brewer, the septuagenerian, immigrant-bashing sweetheart and 22nd Governor of AZ was shocked to learn that the Mexican beauty Jimena Navarrete, from Guadalajara was crowned Queen of the Universe. Jan responded to this nomination of the universe’s queen with her usual chilly charm – Goodness gracious, Mexican’s crossing our border are drug dealers, be-headers and baby makers, so let’s hope that Ms. Universe is able to keep from evidencing any of these characteristics as she visits and resides in America over the next year. While she’s welcome to visit AZ, we expect her to have not only her Universe credentials for display at all border crossings and on demand by our troopers, but also to demonstrate evidence of non-pregnancy considering our desire to limit alien births in AZ. Congratulations Ms. Universe! [...]

Recently there was huge discussion on this very blog, and joined in by many of our right wing friends decrying the horror of putting the Mosque up on Ground Zero. As usual, our right wing friends were not being truthful, and we find out that the Mosque isnt a Mosque, but a community center. [...]

Helen Thomas may be considered by many to be the grande dame of the Washington press corps, but while attending the White House Jewish Heritage Celebration on May 27, Thomas suggested Jews should “get the hell out of Palestine” and “go back home to Poland, Germany, America and everywhere else.” Shortly after her remarks [...]

Duffy’s resignation was effective Friday, but he will remain in place until Gov. Jim Doyle appoints his successor, which could take several [...]

Imagine if the Tea Party was comprised of predominantly African-Americans: Imagine that hundreds of black protesters were to descend upon Washington DC and Northern Virginia, just a few miles from the Capitol and White House, armed with AK-47s, assorted handguns, and ammunition. And imagine that some of these protesters —the black protesters — spoke [...]

This is absolutely hilarious…
David Duke, White Nationalist, former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, holocaust denier and former presidential candidate, is attempting to debunk the accusations of racism in the Tea Party movement:
Throughout his rambling he denotes self pity with claims of being “demonized by the media.” A picture in [...]

What were the GOP-run legislature, Governor and Senator McCain thinking when they supported the enactment of Arizona’s new discriminatory “papers please” law? As Saturday Night Live’s Seth Myers stated on Saturday’s show: “Nothing more Nazi then saying Show Me Your Papers… So heads-up Arizona that’s fascism.” [...]

Over at the “Real” Debate Wisconsin blog, Fred Dooley wonders if President Obama is insane, citing material sourced from an article in the European Union Times that indicated French President Nicolas Sarkozy recently referred to President Barack Obama as, “a dangerous[ly] aliéné”, which translates into Obama being a “mad lunatic”, or in the American [...]

While some folks in the “Tea Party” movement have tried disavow any links to racism, others certainly seem to be going out of their way to cater to those racist elements within the movement. Organizers of a tea party rally in Wausau next week invited John Eidsmoe, an Alabama author who’s spoken to white [...]
