County budget done – what does it mean for Jursik?

The Milwaukee County budget process for 2010 is officially finished, as the County Board of Supervisors voted on Wednesday to override 21 of Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker’s 34 vetoes of the 2010 budget. The board’s veto overrides will increase the property tax levy by $5.6 million, which equates to an increase of 18 [...]

Chris Kliesmet is clearly out of touch

Not content to support a possible recall of Milwaukee County Supervisor Pat Jursik, the Citizens for Responsible Government (CRG) are now making noise about a possible recall of Supervisor Theo Lipscomb, in conjunction with “Glendale Residents for Honest Representation,” a political action committee registered by Toni Hill, a resident of Glendale.

According to Chris Kliesmet of [...]

Group forms to recall Jursik

Since their successful effort to recall former County Executive Tom Ament and much of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, the Citizens for Responsible Government (CRG) haven’t had much success with their assorted recall efforts. Their effort to get Gov. Jim Doyle recalled was a failure, as were efforts to recall Cudahy Mayor Ryan [...]

CRG “assisting” with another likely failed recall

The CRG Network, backers of failed (or aborted) recall efforts in Wauwatosa and Cudahy, not to mention the failed effort to recall Gov. Jim Doyle, have announced they’ve been contacted to provide assistance to form a citizens group to explore the possibility of a recall effort against City of Milwaukee Third District Alderman Nik Kovac. [...]

Failed “Recall Doyle” group takes credit for Doyle not running again

Despite not collecting a SINGLE signature in their effort to recall Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle, and despite their recall effort dying a quick and quiet death, the folks at WIN (led by Vince Schmuki) are “claiming victory” as reports indicate Gov. Doyle won’t seek reelection in 2010.

As The Chief said…priceless.

Sullivan recall fails, is CRG yesterday’s news?

As first reported by WisPolitics.com’s Milwaukee Notes, the effort to recall State Senator Jim Sullivan has failed. According to Orville Seymer of the CRG Network, the recall effort failed after the plan to recall Sen. Sullivan was not fully implemented, resulting in the recall effort petering out. The plan, according to Seymer, was [...]

Effort to recall Doyle: epic failure

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how the movement to recall Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle seemed to be losing steam, and today my theory was proven correct, as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting Wisconsinites Interests Now (WIN) is now focusing on removing the governor from office in November 2010. WIN had intended [...]

The Recall Doyle movement: a bastion of tolerance, part deux

Last week I blogged about a supporter of the “Recall Doyle” movement using some “interesting” language in referring to illegal immigrants as pigs. As a followup to that entry, I’m happy to report user “Cutiebear0730″ has confirmed she really doesn’t like minorities. In response to it being noted her comments were rife with [...]

Wigderson knows best….

…at least when it comes to the issue of CRG’s attempted recall of State Sen. Jim Sullivan:

“Recalls should be when there is demonstrable misconduct in office.”

Recalls shouldn’t be abused as a means of settling a partisan grudge, nor should they be used to remove an elected official for voting exactly how he said he’d vote [...]

The Recall Doyle movement: a bastion of tolerance!

As I surf the intertubes, I often find myself wandering onto conservative blogs and news sites, sometimes to find out what conservatives are talking about, and other times just for the sheer entertainment value. As I was checking out the website for the “Recall Doyle” effort, I came across this gem, courtesy of user [...]
