As first reported by WisPolitics.com’s Milwaukee Notes, the effort to recall State Senator Jim Sullivan has failed. According to Orville Seymer of the CRG Network, the recall effort failed after the plan to recall Sen. Sullivan was not fully implemented, resulting in the recall effort petering out. The plan, according to Seymer, was to enlist [...]
A few weeks ago, I wrote about how the movement to recall Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle seemed to be losing steam, and today my theory was proven correct, as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting Wisconsinites Interests Now (WIN) is now focusing on removing the governor from office in November 2010. WIN had intended on [...]
Last week I blogged about a supporter of the “Recall Doyle” movement using some “interesting” language in referring to illegal immigrants as pigs. As a followup to that entry, I’m happy to report user “Cutiebear0730″ has confirmed she really doesn’t like minorities. In response to it being noted her comments were rife with racial stereotypes, [...]
…at least when it comes to the issue of CRG’s attempted recall of State Sen. Jim Sullivan:
“Recalls should be when there is demonstrable misconduct in office.”
Recalls shouldn’t be abused as a means of settling a partisan grudge, nor should they be used to remove an elected official for voting exactly how he said [...]
As I surf the intertubes, I often find myself wandering onto conservative blogs and news sites, sometimes to find out what conservatives are talking about, and other times just for the sheer entertainment value. As I was checking out the website for the “Recall Doyle” effort, I came across this gem, courtesy of user “Cutiebear0730″:
[...]
In a move that surprises no one, the group Citizens for Responsible Government (CRG) is supporting a recall of State Sen. Jim Sullivan. Earlier today, CRG issued a press release announcing the recall effort, and in their press release they compared the recall effort to the efforts of our nation’s founding fathers:
Today, in [...]
Chris Kliesmet of the Citizens for Responsible Government has a really, really good reason for wanting to recall Gov. Jim Doyle:
4. Lastly, here is a less savory technical reason for implementing a recall. Recalls are exempt from state campaign finance personal donation limits. Individuals can donate to recall actions above and beyond all state [...]
…that the whole movement to recall Jim Doyle is really nothing more than an attempt by the Citizens for Responsible Government to stay relevant, given their lack of success at doing anything meaningful following the Milwaukee County pension scandal.
As first reported by Fred Dooley over at “Real Debate,” Citizens for Responsible Government (CRG) has announced they are going to launch a recall effort aimed at removing Governor Jim Doyle from office. The recall effort will need 500,000 signatures in 60 days, and what I’d like to do is take friendly wagers on how [...]
Things are getting interesting in Cudahy. Not only have some citizens who support putting a Wal-Mart in Cudahy’s “city center” started a recall of Mayor Ryan McCue, but now comes a report by Randy Hollenbeck of The Way I See It that the ever-popular Citizens For Responsible Government have gotten involved. I would have thought [...]
