So the results are in, and it looks like tonight was a great night for progressives here in the Milwaukee area. Mandela Barnes beat incumbent Democrat Jason Fields for Assembly seat 11 Evan Goyke won in an 8 person field for open Assembly seat 18 Danny Riemer beat incumbent Democrat Peggy Krusick for Assembly [...] Admittedly, the video quality isn’t the greatest, but here’s some video of “Democrat” Elizabeth Coggs explaining to a majority African-American audience that they should vote for someone that looks like them. In other Elizabeth Coggs-related news, Democrat Nikiya Harris, one of Coggs’ opponents in the race in the 6th State Senate district, issued a [...] While any number of African American leaders and candidates in Milwaukee have been highly critical of Rep. Sandy Pasch’s (currently representing the 22nd Assembly District) campaign for the Assembly in the predominantly African American 10th Assembly District…there has been stone silence about someone in their local community essentially doing exactly the same thing! Two candidates [...] Earlier today Harriet Callier, one of the four Democratic candidates vying to serve as the next Representative for the 10th Assembly District, issued a press release announcing her withdrawal from that race. In her press release, Callier encouraged her supporters to support Millie Coby and asserted State Rep. Sandy Pasch is a “hate-filled extremist,” citing [...] This is absolute garbage. State Rep. Elizabeth Coggs, the Milwaukee Democrat running in the August primary for state senator, urged a gathering of mostly black voters Saturday to “vote for someone that looks like you.” The remark by Coggs, who is African-American, evoked both cheers and shouts of protest from the audience and from some [...] |
