Just keep the number 7 in mind the next time a conservative brings up the Benghazi embassy attack

Why the number 7? Because that’s the number of times U.S. embassies/consulates were attacked during the presidency of George W. Bush.

See, every time conservatives trot out this line of attack against President Barack Obama, they’re conveniently ignoring the national security failings of the last Republican president.

  • 2002: U.S. Consulate In Karachi, Pakistan, Attacked; 10 Killed, 51 Injured
  • 2004: U.S. Embassy Bombed In Uzbekistan
  • 2004: Gunmen Stormed U.S. Consulate In Saudi Arabia
  • 2006: Armed Men Attacked U.S. Embassy In Syria
  • 2007: Grenade Launched Into U.S. Embassy In Athens
  • 2008: Rioters Set Fire To U.S. Embassy In Serbia
  • 2008: Ten People Killed In Bombings At U.S. Embassy In Yemen

There’s absolutely no denying that the terrorist attack on our embassy in Benghazi is a tragedy, and it’s imperative that those responsible for the attack are held accountable, it’s also important to have a little historical perspective and context.

Mitt Romney’s economic plan….in one picture

This image sums up Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s economic “plan.”

Yep, that just about sums up Mitt Romney’s economic “plan,” which consists of recycling the George W. Bush-era tax cuts for the richest Americans, tax cuts that the last time I checked didn’t spur a heck of a lot of job creation.

Failed former president George W. Bush: “I’m for Mitt Romney!”

ā€œIā€™m for Mitt Romney,ā€ [George W.] Bush told ABC News this morning as the doors of an elevator closed on him, after he gave a speech on human rights a block from his old home ā€” the White House.

No doubt former president George W. Bush’s endorsement will help Mitt Romney sew up the vote of the key “budget deficit increasing, federal budget ballooning, size of the federal government increasing, trillions of dollars of spending on wars” demographic.

In related news, Mitt Romney is “getting the band back together,” with the “band” being a good number of individuals who advised former President Bush as he presided over massive increases in federal spending, a ballooning federal budget deficit (after inheriting a budget surplus, no less), a massive increase in the size of the federal government, and a massive forfeiture of civil liberties (PATRIOT Act), not to mention the invasions of Iraq (without cause) and Afghanistan, two wars which cost American taxpayers trillions of dollars.

So there you have it folks…if you loved the damage George W. Bush did to our nation and our economy during his eight years in office, then you should love Mitt Romney, because he’s starting to turn into nothing more than a cheap copy of George W. Bush.

Now Your Mad??

I found this on facebook and wanted to share:

After The 8 Years Of The Bush/Cheney Disaster, Now You Get Mad?

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate Energy policy and push us to invade Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 800 billion (and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn’t get mad when Bush borrowed more money from foreign sources than the previous 42 Presidents combined.

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country.

You didn’t get mad when they didn’t catch Bin Laden.

You didn’t get mad when Bush rang up 10 trillion dollars in combined budget and current account deficits.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.

You didn’t get mad when we gave people who had more money than they could spend, the 1%, over a trillion dollars in tax breaks.

You didn’t get mad with the worst 8 years of job creations in several decades.

You didn’t get mad when over 200,000 US Citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance.

You didn’t get mad when lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US Citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars in investments, retirement, and home values.

You finally got mad when a black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, job losses by the millions, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, and the worst economic disaster since 1929 are all okay with you, but helping fellow Americans who are sick… Oh, Hell No!

The Best 9 Minutes on Television

At least since Super Bowl XX! Seriously though, this 9 minute clip is for those who think that President Obama has done nothing for the American middle class. This 9 minute clip is for those who think that there is no difference between the two parties or think how bad could a mitt romney presidency be. Does anyone think that this would be the same ending if we had a Romney or Gingrich or Bush Presidency or that any of them would appoint someone as qualified as Joshua Gotbaum to a post as menial and important as this?

As a political junkie I had no idea this division ever existed. I now pledge full support to President Obama’s re-election campaign!
