With just five days to go before the Wisconsin GOP Senate primary, you’d think voters would have all the information they’d need to make an informed choice. You’d be wrong. From [...] I know I’m a few days slow on the uptake, but there’s a new Rasmussen poll out regarding the U.S. Senate race here in Wisconsin, and it’s got a whole lotta bad news for the Republican U.S. Senate candidates. According to the poll, Baldwin has a lead over each of the four Republican U.S. Senate [...] Despite the shouting and accusations from the Republican legislators about alleged voter fraud in Racine during the June 5th Senatorial recall…where Senator-elect John Lehman defeated Senator Van Wanggaard…there was NO VOTER FRAUD! From the august Racine Journal Times: County investigators have found no evidence of criminal activity after looking into claims of alleged voter fraud [...] If it wasn’t apparent that The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has sold out their editorial and newsroom integrity to the right wing narrative, today’s paper ices the cake. Over the past month or so, MJS gave significant op ed space to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and State Senator Van Wanggaard to spout off about voter fraud [...] In case you hadn’t heard (though I’m sure you had), the Republican Party of Wisconsin held their convention Green Bay, Wisconsin this weekend. During the RPW Convention, former State Rep. and Speaker of the State Assembly Jeff Fitzgerald took the stage to speak, and as Fitzgerald took to the stage he did so using the [...] I love this… Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald of Horicon took the most votes at the Republican Party’s state convention here, but fell short of the 60% needed to secure the endorsement. It was a surprisingly strong showing for Fitzgerald, who has lagged in fundraising and polling. Thompson, elected governor four times, was knocked off [...] Last week I wrote a little about the fundraising numbers for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Tammy Baldwin and one of her Republican counterparts, extreme conservative businessman Mark Neumann.
