Republican Voter in a Bubble

” Getting a Republican to accept basic facts is like trying to get your dog to take a pill” Bill Maher

This from Real Time with Bill Maher where Maher and Keith Olbermann try and get through to a “typical republican voter”

Just a thought on MSNBC’s new nightly lineup

Last week Proud Progressive noted the departure of Keith Olbermann from MSNBC, with Olbermann’s last show airing last week Friday.

Last night marked the first night of MSNBC’s new nightly lineup, with “The Last Word” with Lawrence O’Donnell replacing Olbermann at 7 p.m. CST, “The Ed Show” with Ed Schultz moving to 9 p.m., and Cenk Uygur replacing Schultz at 5 p.m., and I have to say that I’m far from impressed with Uygur’s show. Whether you agreed with Keith Olbermann’s ideology or not, his show was well-produced, and while there’s still time for Cenk Uygur to turn things around, his first night on the job seemed pretty shaky.

I am sure that the right wing echo chamber is giddy with excitement, as Keith Olbermann signed off for the last time tonight. I am sure the extreme right, will misread into it that there is no audience for what Olbermann is saying never once mentioning the incredibly bad for democracy merger between Comcast and NBC. It comes a little too close to the merger to be coincidence.
