On Tuesday I wrote about Democratic State Senator Pat Kreitlow’s announcement that he’ll challenge incumbent Rep. Sean Duffy in the 7th Congressional District in 2012. Duffy, as former Democratic State Senator and Tourism Secretary Kevin [...] Yesterday Democratic State Senator Pat Kreitlow, who has served as the State Senator for the 23rd District since 2007, announced his intention to challenge Republican Rep. Sean Duffy in the 7th Congressional District in 2012. Here’s Sen. Kreitlow’s statement announcing his candidacy: “I started exploring the possibility of a Congressional campaign after the new Republican [...] It’s been rumored former Tourism Secretary Kevin Shibilski was considering a run for the Democratic nomination in the 7th Congressional district, but in a statement released earlier today, Shibilski made it clear he’s not running: It is no secret that I have had a desire to run for Congress if the opportunity should arise.
