I would like to thank long time reader and active commenter, forgotmyscreenname, for providing a link to the recent Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article about recent charges brought against 10 area residents for voter fraud. After having read the article, I wanted to follow up with a few comments here. Over the past decade, our Republican [...] Despite the shouting and accusations from the Republican legislators about alleged voter fraud in Racine during the June 5th Senatorial recall…where Senator-elect John Lehman defeated Senator Van Wanggaard…there was NO VOTER FRAUD! From the august Racine Journal Times: County investigators have found no evidence of criminal activity after looking into claims of alleged voter fraud [...] If it wasn’t apparent that The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has sold out their editorial and newsroom integrity to the right wing narrative, today’s paper ices the cake. Over the past month or so, MJS gave significant op ed space to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and State Senator Van Wanggaard to spout off about voter fraud [...]
In yet another twist of irony, canvassers for Walker appear to be encouraging multiple voting, or, at least not making it clear to people that they’re signing up for an absentee ballot. Apparently their obsession with “voter fraud” is more of a self-reflective moment than anything else. A man in Waukesha County [...] And by “snipe hunt” I mean search for fraudulent voters. There weren’t any. There never were any. There never are any. Voter ID is a fraud perpetrated on the voters by a party that can’t expand it’s membership because they hate all the groups that are growing. The only way to ensure continued electoral viability [...] Is what Reince Priebus meant to say. Instead he got his words mixed up on MSNBC… Wisconsin is a state “that was absolutely riddled with voter fraud.” His reinceness is not one who has ever let the truth leak from his weasely lips, ask his former good friend Michael Steele, so it is not surprising. [...] The vote recount for the Supreme Court race between incumbent Justice Prosser and Assistant Attorney General JoAnne Kloppenburg is nearly over. The recount has been completed in 71 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties. Only Waukesha County is still methodically performing their hand count and has only managed to recount about one third of the ballots cast [...] Today the the legislature started debate on the \"Stop Democrats from Voting\" bill. This bill is being pushed by Representative Don Pridemore, who represents Waukesha of all places, and is “worried” about the sanctity of the vote. The New York Times broke down today exactly who these bills will affect. Spreading fear [...] Ramona Kitzinger, 80 year old Democratic canvasser and hero to the right(here, here and here). NOT SO FAST though. The lady who the right wing cheddarsphere held up as a true hero and truth teller, now has been given the chance to clarify her story: In retrospect, it seems both shocking and somewhat appalling there [...] |
