Is This Candidate Really Unqualified to Serve as President?

I have a simple question for my 4.6 readers, and I’m hoping a few of the more conservative folks who read from time to time might weigh in with their opinions:

Would you consider the following candidate to be qualified to serve as president?

    Candidate #1:

  • Lawyer
  • 4 terms in state legislature
  • One term in U.S. House of Representatives

Is that candidate qualified to serve as president?

How about this candidate:

    Candidate #2:

  • Lawyer
  • 7 years as a State Senator
  • 4 years as a U.S. Senator

Edit: I’ve edited this to include candidate #2.

  1. It is a trap!!! Where is my buddy John Foust to warn us?

See Zach I would answer, but you don’t answer my questions!

  2. Zach you are right, it is a tough question because you failed to give the correct answer. I told you it was a trap.

Here is the answer, correct your answer sheet. It is nice when the student finds an error the teacher missed.

    Candidate #3:

    Annapolis Graduate
    Vietnam War Pilot
    Retired Navy Captain
    Navy liaison
Two term U.S. House of Representatives
    4 terms in U.S. Senate
For 5 ½ years as a POW (three of which he says were spent in solitary confinement
Awarded a Silver Star, a Legion of Merit for Valor, a Distinguished Flying Cross, three Bronze Stars, two Commendation medals plus two Purple Hearts and a dozen service medals.

  3. Steve, nice try, but I didn’t make a mistake. Candidate #1 is Abraham Lincoln, and Candidate #2 is obviously Obama.

See, for all the caterwauling you folks do about how inexperienced Obama is and how that makes him unfit to be president, Lincoln was similarly inexperienced, and he seemed to do just fine under perhaps the most extreme circumstances a president could face.

Nice try though…read up on American history.

  4. I think that “candidate #3” is more worrysome with that POW history than not.
There happen to be cases of POWs going crazy when they got back home and killed people. So, I think that really isn’t a plus for someone that could still be suffering from post traumatic stress symdrome and is keeping it from the public. You know, how Reagan kept his alziemers from the public.

And, that Anapolis stuff…….be barely graduated at the bottom of his class. Again, hardly something to be bragging about.

By your standards Max Cleland would be a much better candidate than McSame

  5. Kay, I don’t believe to judge someone just on where they ranked in school high school or college. Where did anyone of you rank in either? As we get older, hopefully, we gain wisdom that is not taught in school. Don’t judge a book by its cover, but be what is inside. What truly does Obama have inside? Not much!

Kay did you see those billboards that state: Albert Einstein was a bad student but that didn’t stop him to become a genius

If you get a chance to drive to Madison via I-94 there are four of them along the way.

McCain has adjusted just fine to live from his POW days. What about Obama’s drug use, he could relapse or the fact he cannot kick the smoking habit. Weak will power, he keeps trying and still cannot.

We all know Zach’s game of on paper backfired once I put in McCain’s experience. It was a nice try as Zach said, but only a fool would not select McCain’s just from paper. McCain offers so much more then just a flashy cover. Remember the term real deal, it applies to McCain. What you see is what you get. Zach can lash out with McCain’s age all he wants, it doesn’t change things.

  6. So Steve, do you think Lincoln was unqualified to serve as President? I ask only because he had a similar amount of public service experience as Obama when he was elected president, and he did pretty darn well under some extremely challenging circumstances.

  7. Albert Einstein was also famous for wearing house slippers to lectures he was giving. Being a genius is often a slim thread away from being nuts.
And, I am not judging him on his academic record alone, I took into consideration many things.

    He was a poor student.

He was held under an extremely traumatic environment for years.
The results of which no one is sure about.

    He has a dreadful temper.

He called his wife the “c” word once in front of staffers and press.
Shows what he thinks of women down deep inside. Add that to the fact that he chose a women as a ploy to woo Hillary supporters and that really tells you how stupid he thinks women are.

He has an extremely narrow view of the world and the way it should work.

His age lends itself to a multitude medical conditions including both physical and mental ailments. 4X treated for skin cancer alone.

Most of all, his campaign is based on his being a war hero. Hero? He got stuck in a POW camp for 5 years. He didn’t throw himself on a grenade, go back for a fallen commrade, charge the enemy so his fellow soldiers could find cover. No, he got shot down.
