Politicians behaving badly…

Here’s two examples of politicians behaving badly. First up is Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), who used profanity when asked a question about his involvement in several scandals:

The next politician behaving badly is Republican Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky, who used profanity during a conference call with reporters:

Kentucky Sen. Jim Bunning cursed at reporters during a telephone press call and refused to release the results of an internal political poll on Tuesday.

The poll results are “none of your g–d— business,” Bunning told reporters.

When a reporter asked if Bunning’s decision to keep the poll numbers private infers that he isn’t happy with the results, he responded: “You are going to infer any damn thing you choose, so why should I try to influence it.”

No matter if the elected official is a Democrat or a Republican, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. We hold our elected officials to a higher standard (well, at least I do), and as such they should conduct themselves accordingly. The fact that Rep. Rangel and Sen. Bunning chose to resort to profanity speaks volumes about their character.
