Republicans Still Don’t Get Obama

Another Day brings more Criticism of Obama from The Gop.
Obama starts off the new week by reversing the Stem Cell Bans That GWB put in Place. The Right, as expected, are not Happy.

“”Why are we going and distracting ourselves from the economy? This is job No. 1. Let’s focus on what needs to be done,” Rep. Eric Cantor, the Republican whip in the House of Representatives, told CNN’s “State of the Union.”

The Wisconsin Blogging world’s GOP Connection in DC says
I think it’s a bit simpler than that: Obama needs a PR win.
Obama’s getting killed on the economy daily. His team at Treasury comes off as clueless when it comes to the actual cause of this economic trouble, and no one seems to know when or if a plan on fixing the banks is even down the horizon

Guys you need to Get used to a few things That President Obama
does Different Than President Bush.
1) He says he’ll do it….This means HE WILL DO IT!
It’s a concept that seems foreign to many in the political World?

2) The President of the United States has access to the keenest minds in the world on every matter, Because of this….
Granted some might want to have him sit in the White House and pout and wait for the Congress and Senate to Act,
Not This Guy…..It’s Called Leadership.

Sooner or Later folks will Realize

There’s  Gop Reaction of a Different Kind
““I’m very grateful that President Obama has lifted the restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research,” she wrote in a statement released shortly after Obama reversed the Bush administration limits. “These new rules will now make it possible for scientists to move forward. I urge researchers to make use of the opportunities that are available to them and to do all they can to fulfill the promise that stem cell research offers.”

  1. “He says he’ll do it….This means HE WILL DO IT!” Like with no lobbyists on his staff? Oops no not that one. Like “Sunlight before Signing”? oops no not that one. Like out of Iraq? Ooops no not that one. You mean, say whatever it takes to get elected? I’ll leave that up to your readers.

  2. So he gets Rid of 99% of lobbyists and you bitch about the 1?
He gets us out of Iraq, but it’s not soon enough?
He provides sunlight, you want it sooner?

At least even your unhappiness shows the great strides
this administration has made and will continue to make!

  3. “He says he’ll do it….This means HE WILL DO IT!” Perhaps you meant: “He says he’ll do it…This means HE’LL TRY REALLY HARD!” or HE’LL GIVE IT THE OLE COLLEGE TRY!”

But let’s be honest, just because he says he’ll do it, does not mean he will do it. It’s just a fact.

The POTUS is not omnipotent, like your quote implied.

  4. Obama’s far from perfect, and I’m sure he’ll make his fair share of mistakes and he might even break a campaign promise or ten, but I’d like to think when it comes to the issue of lobbyists, he’ll at least be better than his predecessors, including Clinton.
