Take a look at the two pictures below and tell me what you think:
What about this picture…
So my question is simple…upside down flags: patriotic or unpatriotic?

Completely uncalled for…
I have a confession to make. I have hung my Packer flag upside down and will leave it thus until Ted Thompson is out of there.
But I do it as a true Packer fan.
It’s obvious that the guy in the first picture is an unpatriotic commie traitor who should have moved to Russia when he was old enough to tear up his selective service card. But it’s just as clear that the guy in the second picture is a true-blue loyal American who loves his country and is exercising his God-given right to protest the actions of his government.
Flying a US flag upside down is practically treason, but flying it upside down and backwards, like the second guy is doing, is exactly the opposite.
Didn’t you know that?
US Military uses the flying of US Flag upside down as a distress call; i.e. the ship is in distress. Which I assume is what they are trying to convey; i.e. country in distress.
I personally find this symbolic usage offending, but I guess the two “gentleman” would find me burning a flag just as offending……free speech.
*L*
Freedom of speech is protected by the First Amendment, so I’d say patriotic!
