T. Wall’s in….

Obviously I’m not shocked, but Greg Giroux of the Eye on 2010 blog at CQPolitics.com is reporting that Madison-area real estate developer Terrence Wall has filed the necessary paperwork to become a formal challenger to U.S. Senator Russ Feingold in 2010.

Wall’s candidacy likely means the beginning of the end of Dave Westlake’s candidacy for the U.S. Senate. Given the fact that Westlake has yet to obtain an endorsement from any meaningful Republicans in Wisconsin, likely because he wasn’t seen as a viable contender to Sen. Feingold, Wall seems likely to sew up institutional support from within the GOP rather quickly, given his ability to self-fund a campaign if necessary.

Even if Republicans in Wisconsin do come out and endorse Wall’s candidacy, I’m still not ready to take him seriously. After all, it’s kinda hard to take a guy who can’t even win a seat on his village’s board of trustees seriously as a U.S. Senate candidate.

  1. Naturally, he filed in time for Halloween. T. Wall is the Pumpkin King, after all. Imagine all the free publicity he’ll get, now that Disney has re-released The Nightmare Before Christmas in digital 3D.
