Limbaugh compares Feingold to Osama bin Laden

On Friday, right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh compared Russ to terrorist Osama Bin Laden on his nationally syndicated radio show. Speaking about the al Qaeda leader’s most recent audio tape, Limbaugh said, “sounds like this could easily be [said by] Russ Feingold, the Senator from Wisconsin.” Listen for yourself:

I’m not shocked by Limbaugh’s remarks, because he’s a conservative bomb-thrower of the highest order, but I’d certainly like to know if Terrence Wall and Dave Westlake – Sen. Feingold’s Republican opponents in 2010 – agree with Limbaugh’s remarks, and I’m not alone. There are a good number of people who believe Rush Limbaugh speaks for the Republican Party, so I think it’s only fair that Terrence Wall and Dave Westlake make it clear whether they support Rush Limbaugh’s comments about Sen. Russ Feingold.

  1. Well Osama was talking about global warming (er, climate change)in the statement referenced. You have to admit, his statement DOES sound like Al Gore and other liberals. The reaction has been that this comparison is out of bounds. If so, what part of Osama’s statement does Feingold disagree with?

Interesting Zach that you are crticial of this type of comparison and label Limbaugh a bomb thrower for doing it. Yet in your very own blog (November 30, 2009, “Name These Groups”) you compared conservatives to the Taliban. Are you a bomb thrower too?

  2. Sounds like Russ has alot in common with Osama bin Laden. Both of them have policys to ruin the US
