What a difference a year and a stimulus makes…

Meanwhile the Wall Street Journal had bad news for GOP stimulus naysayers including Paul Ryan having this to say about his hypocrisy earlier this week:

“Rep. Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who called the stimulus a “wasteful spending spree” that “misses the mark on all counts,” wrote to Labor Secretary Hilda Solis in October in support of a grant application from a group in his district which, he said, “intends to place 1,000 workers in green jobs.” A spokeswoman for Mr. Ryan said the congressman felt it was his job to provide “the basic constituent service of lending his assistance for federal grant requests.”

If the stimulus is so wasteful, why do he and his cronies continue to trash it, while trying to get cash out of it and claiming credit when they do?  Do they think the American people are so stupid they won’t recognize their hypocrisy?

In other good news resulting from the stimulus and the subsequent stabilization of the economy the Wall Street Journal, today said:

  1. Gah…I had something written about this for tomorrow, but you beat me to the punch!

This is the story of my blogging….a day late and a dollar short!

  2. Zach, my apologies. You are usually so far ahead of any postings on here. Go ahead and add your perspectives it will enrich the discussion and perspectives on the topic.
    Paul

    1. No apologies needed. I don’t think anyone figured the road to recovery from the recession would be quick or without bumps, but I think we’re definitely seeing progress in the right direction.

  3. Well instead of buying in hook-line-and sinker to the DNC video, I think you would need to do a cost-benefit analysis on how much all those borrowed dollars did to revive the economy.

Gee Zach, suddenly things are looking up? Rosy enough yet to host a $250 fundraiser? Because you sure made things sound pretty dire yet in your last entry.
