I’ll admit it – I love the Superbowl as much for the commercials as for the game itself, and Sunday’s Superbowl ads didn’t disappoint, at least in my opinion. Personally, my favorite of all the ads was the Careerbuilder.com “Casual Fridays” ad, but I’d like to know what you thought. What was your favorite ad from Superbowl XLIV?

Here’s the ads, in case you missed them:
Dude, Betty White and Abe Vigoda!
Or maybe Letterman, Oprah and Leno. I can’t decide.
The Google ad was my favorite – like the search engine itself (and most of its products), it was simple, clean and uncluttered, and straightforward.
I agree I loved the Google one!
The Google ad was good too….I had a hard time narrowing it down to the ones I chose to include.
Yeah…where’s the Betty White commercial??
I didn’t watch the Superbowl but I did see the Betty White commercial afterwards and I loved it. But I love Betty White from watching the Golden Girls and for her passion/love for animals.
I suggest going over to the ‘conservative tilted’ realdebate and take a look at how they are saying the audi ad is predicting the future(to put it mildly).
The future? How about the present! Just one example:
“California wants to control home thermostats”
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/11/world/americas/11iht-calif.1.9147508.html
I wonder if the Audi folks asked Al Gore to be in their ad?
Forgot…you selectively pulled out that quote but decided not to include the part where they said they would only control home thermostats during “emergencies”.
Does climate change qualify as an “emergency”?
You know how things always start incrementally. If the ability is there, they will find ways to use it more ways and eventually permanently.
I didn’t selectively pull out a quote. That was the headline.
Okay. You’re right. It is the headline…but it’s deceiving.
“I suggest going over to the ‘conservative tilted’ realdebate and take a look at how they are saying the audi ad is predicting the future(to put it mildly).”
No thanks.
I just watched the Audi commercial and I love the Green Police! Funny!
Yes it was funny! Most things that are funny have a grain of truth to them. I seriously think it would have been even funnier with Al Gore doing a one-liner in his stilted southern drawl. And he’s proven that he’s not above self-parody on SNL and other shows.
