In a move to out-Fox, Fox News, CNN has hired conservative “RedState” blogger Eric Erickson. Somehow CNN thinks that having RNC political operative Alec Castellano among their commentators isn’t enough to draw in the conservative mob, so they’ve given Eric a platform to continue his ludicrous and incendiary attacks on the census, on health care reform, on Obama, etc.
On a recent show, MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz takes down Eric Erickson with a clear analysis and review of some of his attacks. As Huffington Post states some of his past “inflamatory rhetoric” have included:
“comparing White House health care communications director Linda Douglass to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, calling Michelle Obama Barack’s “Marxist harpy wife,” and describing outgoing Supreme Court Justice David Souter as “the only goat f***ing child molester to ever serve on the Supreme Court'”
Maybe CNN decided to let this guy have a platform hoping it will expose him (them) for what he (they) are on national TV? Eventually the good people will turn away from the hate mongers.
Maybe CNN is going the way of Faux News. Ratings trump facts.
