Have you heard the big news about Republican U.S. Senate candidate Terrence Wall???
In a press release issued by his campaign yesterday, Wall noted he would report more than $1 million cash on hand for the latest fundraising period, but what’s curiously absent from Wall’s press release is any mention of the fact that of the roughly $1.3 million Wall’s campaign raised during the last fundraising period, $1.2 million of it was from Wall’s own pocket.
This isn’t the first time Terrence Wall has cherry-picked numbers to make his support seem more substantial than it really is; back in January of this year, Wall announced he had “raised more than $500,000” for his Senate bid, but as it turns out, roughly $250,000 of the $500,000 Wall said he raised was actually from Wall’s own pocket. However, I can understand why Terrence Wall didn’t note he gave his Senate campaign a $1.2 million infusion of cash, because if I had raised only $100,000 for my U.S. Senate campaign in three months, I’d be pretty embarrassed too.
